Job summary

HOUDIJK HOLLAND B.V is seeking an Electrical Technician to translate schematics into working electrical solutions. You will wire and test control panels and low‑voltage cabinets, connect production lines in the workshop and on-site at customer locations in the Netherlands and abroad, and keep accurate technical documentation.

About the Job

As an Electrical Technician, you will work from electrical schematics and technical drawings while contributing practical solutions to technical challenges. You will be responsible for wiring and electrical connection of machines, ensuring quality through inspections on assembly, wiring, and documentation, and accurately implementing revisions and technical changes. Additionally, you will support colleagues with technical questions and contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, building, wiring, and testing control panels and low‑voltage cabinets.
• Electrically connecting complete production lines, in the workshop and occasionally on‑site at customer locations in the Netherlands and abroad.
• Verifying electrical schematics against Royal Houdijk standards.
• Maintaining complete and accurate technical documentation.
• Managing the department’s stock of frequently used electrical components and materials.

Benefits

• Monthly salary between €3,500 and €4,400 gross, based on a 40‑hour workweek.
• 27 vacation days and 13 additional leave days (ADV) in accordance with the Metalektro collective labour agreement.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience with control panel building, electrical control cabinets, and machine wiring.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Practical knowledge of assembly, wiring, and electrical installation work.
• Good command of Dutch and basic proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel internationally several times a year for installation and electrical commissioning at customer sites.
• Possibility to provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) during the application process.
