Job summary

Datacenter People is seeking commissioning engineers to join a growing team. You will commission and test emergency power installations across data centers in Europe, including generators, switchgear and fuel systems.

You will ensure installations meet specifications, safety standards and project requirements, and act as the customer’s technical contact during installation and FAT/SAT. You will record all test results in reports, ensuring documentation meets project standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with commissioning of electrical power systems at data centers or critical sites.
• Ability to perform FAT/SAT and document results.

Responsibilities

• Commission and test emergency power installations including generators, switchgear and fuel systems.
• Ensure installations meet technical specs, safety standards and project requirements.
• Act as a point of contact for customers with technical questions about installations.
• Supervise FAT/SAT preparation, implementation and reporting.
• Record test results and prepare reports documenting processes and standards.

Job description

Datacenter People is working with a leading European provider of custom made power solutions for mission critical sites. They are looking to add commissioning engineers to their growing team to be responsible for commissioning and testing complete emergency power installations. This includes working on electrical power systems from generators to switchgear and fuel systems at data centers around Europe.

What the Job Involves…

• Commissioning and testing complete emergency power installations including, generators, switchgear, and fuel systems.
• You will ensure that all of this is installed correctly and functions according to the technical specifications, safety standards and project requirements.
• You are a point of contact for customers with technical questions about the installation and supervise the work for the preparation, implementation and reporting of the FAT and SAT;
• You will perform structured tests on generators. And each system is verified by you for correctness and security, so that everything works as designed.
• During testing, you will analyse technical problems and provide targeted solutions, always based on a logical and factual approach.
• You will quickly diagnose faults through detailed data logging, for reliable operation of emergency power installations.
• You will ensure that all emergency power installations meet the standards, and the specific project requirements. You will work meticulously to ensure that everything is right down to the last detail.
• You will carefully record all test results and processes in reports, so that there is clear documentation that meets the project requirements and relevant standards.
