Job summary

Huisman, based in Schiedam, Netherlands, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for our offshore and maritime equipment. You will work from concept through commissioning, performing calculations and supporting testing and documentation.

The role involves collaboration across disciplines and occasional site visits to suppliers and shipyards. The position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and, ideally, offshore experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in offshore or maritime sector preferred; graduates considered.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for Huisman products from concept to commissioning.
• Translate complex requirements into robust, integrated electrical solutions.
• Perform electrical calculations and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Support manufacturing, testing, and documentation for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with mechanical, control, and commissioning teams to deliver turnkey solutions.
• Travel to suppliers, shipyards, and production facilities as needed.
