Job description

Join a leading organization in the naval and defence sector, where professionals worldwide collaborate to deliver advanced vessels and systems. By applying innovative technological developments in practice, we continuously push the boundaries of modern shipbuilding and marine engineering. You can be part of this dynamic and forward-thinking team!

What you’ll be doing

As an Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to the design of new Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigates (ASWF), developed in close cooperation with European naval and defence partners. You will ensure that these state-of-the-art vessels are equipped with reliable, safe, and regulation-compliant electrical systems.

Your work includes designing power distribution networks, defining load balances, and integrating advanced systems with strict EMC and redundancy requirements to ensure maximum operational performance under demanding conditions.

What you bring to the table
  • Developing functional descriptions, drawings, and other engineering documents for power distribution, lighting, and electrical systems.
  • Preparing and maintaining specification documents for electrical components and installation processes, ensuring compliance with military and classification society standards.
  • Writing detailed test and validation plans to ensure compliance with regulations and project-specific requirements during simulations and testing (FAT, HAT, SAT).
  • Managing and coordinating vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables aligned with project objectives.
  • Reviewing vendor and subcontractor designs and integrating their deliverables into the overall electrical architecture.
  • Developing and updating standards and methods for detailed electrical engineering and commissioning.
  • Supporting proposal phases with conceptual electrical designs and technical input.
  • Providing technical support and participating in commissioning activities for ongoing projects.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing complex electrical systems, including large-scale power distribution networks, within maritime, offshore, or defence-related projects.
  • Proven experience working on complex, multidisciplinary projects involving multiple suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) using the V-model.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience in designing EMC-compliant electrical systems; familiarity with TEMPEST or comparable military standards is an advantage.
  • Excellent references; a security screening is part of the selection process.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required due to the military nature of the project. Candidates with EU work visas or dual EU/non-EU nationalities are not eligible.
