Job summary

Drive Line Systems (DLS) in Dordrecht zoekt een ervaren Elektrotechnisch Engineer die ontwerpen maakt voor elektrische aandrijfsystemen en mechatronica in zware voertuigen. Je werkt aan het ontwerpen, berekenen en tekenen van elektrische systemen, integreert deze met elektro-mechanische componenten en ondersteunt montage en testwerk.

Je beheert documentatie en levert CE-certificaten aan het einde van projecten. Je woont binnen ±40 km van Dordrecht en hebt een HBO/MBO4-diploma, min.

Qualifications

• Bachelor HBO/MBO4 in Elektrische techniek of elektronica; Mechatronica is een plus.
• Minimaal 4 jaar relevante werkervaring; hands-on ervaring is een plus.
• Ontwerpen, lezen en interpreteren van tekeningen en schema's.
• Rijbewijs B; kennis van automotive van plus.
• Woonachtig binnen ca. 40 km van Dordrecht (verhuizen mogelijk).

Responsibilities

• Ontwerpen, berekenen en tekenen van elektrische systemen.
• Integreren elektrische systemen met (elektro‑)mechanische componenten.
• Technici ondersteunen tijdens assemblage en testen.
• Verwerken van as-built data in het ontwerpdocumentatiepakket.
• Zorgen voor volledig en correct ontwerpdocumentatie en CE-declaraties.

• Living within a radius of approximately 40 km of Dordrecht (or willing to move there)

Who are you?

You are an experienced electrical engineer with a passion for electrical engineering and electronics. You want to understand systems deeply, value craftsmanship, and embrace new technologies. You live within a radius of approximately 40 km of Dordrecht (or are willing to move there).

In addition, you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering or Electronics, or MBO Level 4. Mechatronics is a plus;
• At least 4 years of relevant work experience. Hands‑on system building experience is a plus;
• Experience designing and building electrical systems;
• Ability to create and read electrical drawings and schematics;
• Knowledge of automotive engineering is a plus;
• Affinity with control technology and automation is a plus.

You also bring:

• Driver’s license B (C is a plus);
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

What will you be doing?

You will be working in an open and informal working environment within a dynamic and rapidly developing company. You work independently on designing electrical systems for our green & smart projects in the (heavy‑duty) automotive sector and systems for mobile power supply.

You get started right away with our G&S teams to design, calculate, and draft electrical and mechatronic (sub)systems. Where necessary, you integrate these with the (electro)mechanical systems. Component selection, composing component lists, and supplier selection are also part of your tasks.

You support the technicians in building and testing the system. You process “as‑built” data into the drawing package after commissioning. At the end of the project, you provide proper user and maintenance manuals and CE certificates.

During the course of the project, you ensure the safeguarding of all design data and required manuals and declarations. Once everything is complete, you archive the project in our computer system in consultation with the project leader.

In your work you will be supported and guided by our Manager Business Development, Manager Technical Support, technicians, project leaders, and work planners. You will have a great deal of freedom in carrying out your tasks, and you can make use of the latest techniques and technological developments. At DLS, you are never done learning and you will continue to develop yourself.

What do you get in return?

You will be rewarded with a competitive salary ranging from €3,500 to a maximum of €5,000 gross per month (based on full‑time employment), depending on knowledge, education, and experience. This is supplemented with secondary employment conditions, such as vacation allowance, a collective pension scheme, travel expense reimbursement, and 25 vacation days (based on full‑time employment). With full‑time employment you also receive 13 ADV days. We also offer you plenty of opportunities to follow training courses and professional development programs.
