Job summary

WTS Energy Europe is seeking an Electrical CAD Designer / Engineer to translate technical specifications into accurate drawings for medium- and high-voltage installations. You will design electrical installations, create and update AutoCAD drawings, and translate sketches into detailed construction plans.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in technical drafting, basic transformer knowledge, and Dutch proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum MBO-4 or HBO in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of technical drafting experience, preferably in electrical engineering or energy sector.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Basic knowledge of transformers and switchgear.
• Knowledge of Vision Phase to Phase is advantageous.
• Native or bilingual Dutch proficiency is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical installations and transformer substations.
• Create and update technical drawings, electrical schematics, panel layouts and cable diagrams in AutoCAD.
• Translate sketches and technical specifications into detailed construction drawings.
• Prepare as-built drawings and maintain technical documentation.
• Work closely with project managers and engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable technical standards and grid operator requirements.

We design, build and maintain medium-voltage installations and transformer substations, working directly with grid operators and our own technical team.

For our growing project portfolio, we're looking for an Electrical CAD Designer / Engineer to translate technical specifications into accurate drawings for medium- and high-voltage installations.

Your responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical installations and transformer substations.
• Create and update technical drawings, electrical schematics, panel layouts and cable diagrams in AutoCAD.
• Translate sketches and technical specifications into detailed construction drawings.
• Prepare as-built drawings and maintain technical documentation.
• Work closely with project managers and engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable technical standards and grid operator requirements.

Your profile

• MBO-4 or HBO qualification in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in technical drafting, preferably in electrical engineering or the energy sector.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
