Job summary

GH Engage is working with an established M&E Contractor in the data centre sector, seeking an EHS Advisor to join the team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The role focuses on implementing policies across the project lifecycle and ensuring site safety.

You will conduct site inspections, lead risk assessments, RAMS, and safety inductions, while monitoring subcontractors and supporting incident investigations. A NEBOSH or IOSH certificate is mandatory, with 2–5 years' relevant experience on construction

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or similar discipline.
• 2–5 years’ experience in an EHS role on construction or engineering.
• Good knowledge of health & safety legislation, standards, and best practices.
• Mandatory NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent certifications.
• Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures across the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health & safety standards and identify potential hazards.
• Assist in carrying out risk assessments and reviewing RAMS.
• Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure adherence to safety requirements.
• Support incident investigations and assist in the implementation of corrective actions.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions as required.
• Ensure all EHS documentation is maintained, accurate, and up to date.
• Attend Site Meetings, Safety Meetings, and Toolbox Talks.
• Support the preparation of EHS reports and safety performance metrics.
• Advise project teams on health & safety best practices and compliance requirements.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with environmental and sustainability requirements.

Job title: EHS Advisor

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Rotation: 17/4

Working hours: 55 hours a week (Monday-Saturday)

• Support the implementation of Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures across the project lifecycle

• Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure adherence to safety requirements
