Zeeland is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHandS) professional to help implement day-to-day EHandS programs at our Zeeland plant. You will ensure safety and environmental standards are applied to meet performance goals and act as the main resource for EHandS procedures and guidelines.

You will coach teams, support goal achievement, and coordinate monitoring, data collection, and reporting. An associated degree in EH&S or related field is preferred, with strong English communication

• Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, pilot plant, or laboratory environment.

• Ensures EHandS aspects are adequate to meet performance goals.
• Acts as section owner for EHandS areas of operating discipline.
• Serves as plant resource for EHandS information and standards.
• Coaches teams and individuals on EHandS tasks and activities.
• Assists in developing and achieving area or plant EHandS goals.
• Ensures completion of compliance tasks.
• Coordinates Environmental and IH monitoring, data collection, analysis and reporting for the Plant.

Shares responsibility for the implementation of the EHandS management system, in order to meet business objectives and to maintain the license to operate. Provides hands-on environmental, industrial hygiene (IH), and health and safety (HandS) activities for a specific plant. Requires broadened technical skills in analytical scientific methods or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities. May act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

What’s your job about?

• Implements detailed, task level, day to day EHandS programs, utilizing the EHandS work process, standards and procedures.
• Ensures that the Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety aspects of operating discipline are adequate and applied to achieve EHandS performance goals. In most cases, would perform the role of section owner for the EHandS sections of operating discipline.
• Acts as the Plant resource for related EHandS information on procedures, guidelines and standards.
• Serves as plant contact for Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety issues.
• Coaches teams and individuals on EHandS related tasks and activities.
• Assists in developing and achieving area or plant EHandS goals.
• Ensures compliance tasks are completed.
• Performs coordinates certain Environmental, and IH monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for the Plant.

What skills do you have?

• Associate degree. EH&S, manufacturing or other related experience preferred.
