Job summary

Innatera in the Netherlands is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to work at the intersection of embedded software and semiconductor development. You will contribute to device drivers, debugging hardware-integrated systems, and planning software activities to meet tight schedules.

The role requires a MSc or BSc in electrical engineering or computer science, 3+ years in embedded C, and hands-on experience with Git/GitLab and HIL testing.

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of Embedded Software development with the C programming language.
• Experience with Version Control Systems, especially Git and Gitlab.
• Experience in HIL testing for embedded targets with a hardware debugger or other tools.
• Experience with requirements tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain and test embedded software components such as device drivers.
• Debug and resolve complex issues in embedded systems using hardware tools.
• Plan software development tasks, estimate effort and ensure timely delivery.
• Provide guidance on development strategy and identify risks early.
• Promote best engineering practices across projects and teams.
• Develop and maintain requirements for embedded software of varying complexity.
• Create and maintain tests for embedded software and scripts.
• Collaborate with hardware, application, and other engineers during design and requirements activities.
