Job summary

Vertiq Hospitality Partners B.V. is offering an internship as a Duty Trainee at Moxy and Residence Inn Houthavens Amsterdam. You’ll assist in all departments, learn to handle guest requests, and present yourself as a manager to guests.

You will gain hands-on hotel experience, participate in quality rounds and brand audits, and work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays. The program includes mentorship and growth opportunities within Vertiq.

Qualifications

• Eager to learn and be creative.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage.
• Pursuing HBO study in hotel, facility, tourism.
• Sociable and enjoy teamwork.
• Flexible for weekends/holidays shifts.
• Passionate about working in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all departments (front office, F&B, housekeeping).

• Make the right decisions when problems arise.
• Gain knowledge about the hotel and emergency procedures.
• Perform quality rounds and Brand audits.
• Check rooms for exterior cleaning company verification.
• Make orders and work on other projects.

Our Duty Trainee is someone who can do it all and is not afraid to get his/her hands dirty or shy away from a challenge. You must be familiar with the company, equipment and emergency procedures. As a Duty Trainee, you have a good knowledge of all operational departments and are happy to help them in times of need! Complaints are a challenge for you because you are an excellent problem solver with a sense of humor and can turn any complaint or issue into a brilliant and spirited experience!

What you will do during this internship:

• You will assist in all departments (front office, F&B, housekeeping etc.).
• You will be able to present yourself as a manager to the guests of the hotel.
• You will learn to deal with guest requests or complaints.
• A duty manager intern is expected to make the right decisions the moment a problem arises.
• You will gain knowledge about the hotel and what to do in emergency situations.
• You do quality rounds and Brand audit checks.
• You will check rooms to verify the outside cleaning company.
