Job summary

sennder in Amsterdam is seeking a Manager Operations to lead our Dutch-speaking account operations and ensure top-tier service for our largest customer. The role is 100% onsite and requires a hands-on leader who can balance daily operations with strategic team management.

You will own account performance, drive process improvements, and develop a high-performing team while collaborating with cross-functional partners across Europe.

Qualifications

• Dutch language required, alongside English verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in dynamic operational environments, preferably with people management experience.
• Logistics/supply chain industry experience is preferred, but a strong profile from outside the industry is very welcome.
• Proven ability to build and sustain strong customer relationships, including the confidence to push back on operational and local management stakeholders when the account’s interests require it.
• A true “player-coach” mindset, equally comfortable doing hands-on operational work and holding strategic, people‑leadership responsibility for a team.

Responsibilities

• Consistently executing and overseeing daily business and following up the status of the customers’ transport operations.
• Establishing and pro-actively maintaining relationships with day-to-day contacts and management-level contacts, both inside and outside the organization.
• Gathering, analyzing, and preparing relevant information for business reviews, and being an active participant in them.
• Handling, and where needed, pushing back on operational, local management stakeholders in the interest of the account.
• Stepping into hands-on operational work when the account or team needs it, while also managing direct reports.
