Job summary

Vanderlande in Veghel seeks a Team Lead Facilities to guide a three‑person Hard Services team and oversee campus operations. You will manage safety, reliability and efficiency of building systems, coordinate external partners and ensure contracts, budgets and quality meet targets.

You will coach and develop staff, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with the Facility Manager to support a future‑proof workplace for over 3,100 employees.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, coordinating or coaching employees.
• Affinity with technical building systems, including electrical.
• Approximately five to seven years of relevant experience in facility management, building services or technical operations.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of three Facility Coordinators.
• Conducting performance, development and appraisal conversations.
• Coordinating daily activities of the Hard Services team.
• Ensuring a safe, comfortable and reliable working environment for more than 3,100 employees.
• Managing building maintenance, electrical installations, climate control systems, fire safety equipment and other technical facilities.
• Coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Reviewing technical proposals, quotations, maintenance reports and supplier recommendations.
• Translating technical requirements into clear assignments for external service providers.
• Managing contracts and monitoring supplier performance, including KPIs, service agreements and long‑term maintenance plans.
• Ensuring that suppliers deliver the agreed quality within the required timelines and budget.
• Managing and monitoring an annual facilities budget of approximately €1.5 million.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable health and safety requirements, legislation and internal standards.
• Coordinating small facility projects and improvements across the buildings and campus.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency and sustainability.
• Contributing to the continued development of the Vanderlande Campus in Veghel.
