Job summary

Vinted Group in Amsterdam seeks a Manager of Data Science & Analytics for Help Experience (HEX) to build and lead the Spark DSA team, comprising decision scientists and data scientists, dedicated to improving support tooling and agent performance.

You will shape the vision for Spark, recruit and mentor, foster rigorous experimentation, and partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Support Ops to deliver measurable impact across HEX.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in a Decision Science, Data Analytics, or Data Science role.
• Experience leading or mentoring others - as a manager, tech lead, or similar.
• Ability to translate strategy into actionable tactical plans and evaluate trade-offs.
• Proven ability to drive high-impact problems and measure outcomes with metrics.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Collaborative leader able to partner across functions.

Responsibilities

• Build, grow, and design the Spark DSA team: hire, mentor, and structure a team of Decision and Data Scientists.
• Develop people through situational leadership and feedback culture.
• Define clear metrics to measure agent and vendor quality and translate signals into coaching and operational decisions.
• Raise rigor in experimentation and ML modeling, adopt best practices across HEX.
• Ensure high, sustainable team performance and fast model deployment without compromising quality.
• Co-create vision and strategy for Spark, HEX, and the DSA function with a 12-month roadmap.
