Job summary

Job description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative full-time Drama teacher to cover a period of maternity leave from November 2026 to March 2027.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and high-quality environment. You will be passionate about drama and committed to promoting the subject both within the classroom and through wider school life.

  • Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum
  • A successful track record of teaching Drama to at least GCSE level
  • The ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a love of learning
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

The ability to teach KS3 and/or KS4 English would be advantageous, though not essential.

The Role

Drama is taught across Key Stage 3 and offered as a GCSE option in Years 10 and 11, following the AQA syllabus. At post-16, students can study Literature and Performance within the IB Diploma Programme (Group 1).

For a suitably qualified candidate, there may be the opportunity to take on additional responsibility, attracting a responsibility allowance, for leading an element of the KS3 Drama and/or English curriculum (e.g. monitoring reports, assessments, and data tracking).

The salary range for this position is 4516,15 - 6145,86 gross EUR monthly (full-time), depending on experience. All figures shown are including the 9% holiday allowance.
