Job summary

Amsterdam International Community School (AICS) in Amsterdam seeks a learning specialist to support diverse students within an international IB environment. The role emphasizes collaboration, flexibility, and ongoing professional development.

The candidate should have two years of learning support experience, a DUO valid teaching degree or learning specialist qualification, and strong English communication. A maternity-coverage 0.8 FTE contract is offered, with competitive payscale and benefits.

About us

The Amsterdam International Community School (AICS) is a Dutch International Primary and Secondary School offering international education in English to 2400 students of more than 80 different nationalities who are (temporarily) living in the Netherlands and are enjoying high quality, accessible, community based international learning.

The AICS is a partly-state-funded community school, which enables us to deliver high-quality education at competitive fees. We were the first school in the Netherlands to offer the full IB continuum (IB, PYP, MYP, DP and CP) and are a fully accredited member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).

  • At least two years of learning support experience - preferably in an international school setting

  • Salary in - payscale 9, based upon knowledge and experience (min. €3.366,- max. €5.086,- full-time per month, before tax)
