Job summary

MSD Animal Health Nederland in Boxmeer is seeking a Director Quality Assurance Operations to translate global quality priorities into a Site QA strategy and ensure uninterrupted supply of vaccines and pharmaceuticals. Lead a ~150-strong QA group, align QA, QC, manufacturing with global standards, and drive digitization and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with Health Authorities, manage audits, and shape the organization’s future readiness while reporting to the Site Quality Lead.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in a relevant field with 7–10 years of experience in an international pharmaceutical company.
• Proven track record of managing large organizations and leading managers.
• Strong leadership capabilities to align diverse teams across regions.
• Solid understanding of GMP, quality systems, and manufacturing regulations.
• Experience working with health authorities and managing audits/inspections.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Translate global, regional, and site quality priorities into an actionable QA operations strategy.
• Oversee batch release processes and end-to-end batch tracking.
• Monitor KPIs and drive data-informed decisions with corrective actions as needed.
• Lead and develop the QA Operations team (approx. 5 direct reports, ~100 staff).
• Shape inter-site processes and handoffs between sites and functions.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and quality systems across the site.
