Murray McIntosh seeks a senior Dutch real estate finance professional to lead the launch of a new development finance proposition in the Netherlands. The role is front-end origination, working with senior leadership to build a scalable lending platform.

You will originate opportunities, nurture relationships with developers, sponsors and advisers, and guide transactions through underwriting and credit approval. Fluency in Dutch and English is essential.

I’m working with an established European real estate lender as it prepares to launch a new development finance proposition in the Netherlands. We are looking for a senior Dutch real estate finance professional to play a central role in building the platform.

This is not simply an origination position. It is an opportunity to establish a new lending proposition in the Dutch market, working directly with the senior leadership team of a well-capitalised lender with an established track record across Europe.

The role will focus on:

• Originating development finance opportunities across the Netherlands
• Building relationships with developers, sponsors, investors, debt advisers and intermediaries
• Developing a high-quality pipeline of lending opportunities
• Leading commercial negotiations around structure, leverage, pricing and terms
• Maintaining oversight of transactions through underwriting, credit approval and completion
• Helping shape the lender’s Dutch development finance strategy and proposition
• Building the platform’s market presence as it scales

Importantly, this is a front-end origination and market-building position. The successful individual will have dedicated underwriting support and will not be expected to perform a dual originator/underwriter role.

Location: Netherlands, with Amsterdam likely to be the natural centre of the role.
