Job summary

Carnival Corporation's CSMART seeks an experienced Director, Maritime Standards - Technical to lead the Fleet Chief Engineer program and drive continuous improvement across technical operations for the global fleet. The role requires coaching senior professionals, shaping standards, and aligning shore and shipboard teams with strategic objectives.

You will influence technical training, safety culture and operational excellence across Carnival’s eight cruise brands, delivering practical guidance

Qualifications

At least three years of experience as a Chief Engineer on cruise ships.
Experience within Carnival Corporation and/or one of its cruise brands.
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or another relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

Lead the Fleet Chief Engineer program, setting annual priorities and coordinating deployment plans.
Oversee ship visits and feedback channels to evaluate training transfer to practice.
Translate fleet learning into recommendations for courses, learning solutions and simulator scenarios.
Act as a senior maritime SME for CSMART, the cruise brands and shoreside stakeholders.
Collaborate with Maritime Professional Development, Operations, brand Technical Operations and other stakeholders.
