Job summary

CSMART in Almere seeks an Electrical Instructor to deliver shipboard electrical and technical training for cruise staff. The role focuses on practical operations, course delivery, and updating training content with evolving technologies.

You will work with simulators, collaborate with the training department, and stay current with maritime regulations and Carnival procedures, contributing as a subject-matter expert.

Qualifications

• Experience as 1st Electrical Engineer in maritime/shipboard environments.
• Senior Electrical Engineer/Superintendent or Subject Matter Expert experience is valuable.
• Cruise ship experience preferred; Carnival brands experience is an asset.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training to shipboard electrical and technical staff.
• Deliver courses per the CSMART course delivery process.
• Promote the corporate safety culture among participants.
• Develop and update courses and shipboard procedures.
• Stay current with practices, technology, Carnival procedures, and regulations.
• Coordinate with Operations Support and other instructors before courses.
• Follow up on participant performance and manage equipment and simulators.
• Keep up with teaching techniques and simulator-based training.
