Job summary

Resthaven is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to assist with kitchen preparation and meal service for residents and guests. The role emphasizes high standards of customer satisfaction, sanitation, and teamwork in a faith-based not-for-profit setting.

The position offers weekday evening hours (4:00 PM - 7:00 PM) with rotating weekend shifts, and a pay range of $15–$16.50 per hour based on experience and licensure.

• Deliver nourishments to resident units as required.
• Wash dishes and maintain sanitation in dining areas and kitchen.

Position Summary

Assist with kitchen preparation and meal service for residents and guests while ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction. Responsible for accurately following menus, delivering high-quality service, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the dining rooms, kitchen, and dishwashing areas.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages, fruits, salads, desserts, and assist with additional food preparation as needed.
• Set up dining room tables for meal service.
• Accurately follow resident menus when preparing room trays and/or serving in the dining room.
• Take tableside meal orders and deliver food to residents in an organized, timely, and courteous manner.
• When appropriate, offer available options to exceed resident expectations.
• Deliver nourishments to resident units as required.
• Deliver food carts to designated locations and ensure carts are returned to the kitchen.
• Collect and dispose of trash and garbage in designated containers.
• Clean work areas, dining rooms, equipment, walls, cabinets, storage areas, and other assigned spaces in accordance with established procedures.
• Wash dishes, cookware, flatware, and trays using approved sanitation procedures.
• Perform all other position-related duties as assigned.
