Job summary

Lepaya is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer to secure and scale our cloud platform. You’ll work with AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines to embed security as a feature of the platform, not a gate. You’ll help teams ship secure services with guardrails, automation, and reliable observability.

We seek hands-on engineers with 4+ years in DevOps/Cloud/Security, fluent in English, and ready to grow in a fast-paced scale-up environment. Hybrid work with office presence in the Netherlands is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in a DevOps/Platform/Cloud/Security role in a fast-paced org.
• Hands-on AWS and Terraform experience in production environments.
• CI/CD pipelines experience using GitHub Actions or equivalent tools.
• Experience with Docker and cloud-native orchestration services.
• Strong cloud security fundamentals: IAM, encryption, network security, secrets mgmt.
• Hands-on in at least one security automation area (SAST/SCA, policy-as-code, etc.).
• Bash or Python scripting; TypeScript is a plus; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve AWS infrastructure with security baked in from the start.
• Embed security into CI/CD pipelines; make results actionable for engineers.
• Introduce policy-as-code to catch misconfigurations before merge.
• Develop secure-by-default infrastructure modules for fast, secure deployments.
• Strengthen cloud security posture across a multi-account AWS org.
• Automate compliance and support security audits with evidence collection.
• Improve monitoring/observability using Grafana/OpenTelemetry and alerting.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and boost developer experience.
