Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Amsterdam seeks a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to rebuild a next-generation Debit & Credit card platform. You’ll own features end-to-end, from issuance to PIN, with a backend-heavy focus and solid frontend fluency.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience, backend-focused but able to work confidently across the front end as well.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Maven, Kafka, Cassandra, Oracle; familiarity with Lit HTML/Web Components on the front end.
• Solid grasp of test automation (e.g. WireMock), CI/CD, and deployment tooling: Azure DevOps, Helm, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker.
• Proven lead developer experience - you've owned a feature end-to-end, from design through deployment.
• Strong conceptual/architectural thinking and the ability to quickly pick up unfamiliar tech.
• Comfortable working in international, multidisciplinary, iterative teams.
• Fluent in English, spoken and written, with strong communication skills.

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer | Java, Spring Boot & Cloud-Native Banking | Amsterdam

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help rebuild the next-generation Debit & Credit card platform for a large financial enterprise, a project touching millions of customers across multiple countries and currencies. You'll work in small, international teams using a fully shift-left, spec-driven (agentic) workflow, with real ownership from design through to production. There's also a built-in mentorship track: lead junior talent while growing your own career.

About the role

As a full stack engineer in the payments domain, you'll take end-to-end ownership of features that power card services, from issuance and blocking to limit changes and PIN requests, while also helping consolidate legacy Debit/Credit systems into one reusable, scalable platform. The role leans backend-heavy (Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Cassandra, Oracle) but expects solid front-end fluency too (Lit HTML/Web Components). You'll refine, code, test, and deploy your own work straight to containerized cloud environments on OpenShift via Azure DevOps.
