Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment in the Netherlands is seeking a senior Azure specialist to join one of two Azure squads within a strategic consultancy. You will own cloud infrastructure end to end, design architecture, code, and ensure production quality, working hands-on with a client-facing role.

Experience: 6+ years with Microsoft Azure (PaaS and IaaS), IaC with Terraform or Bicep, and CI/CD with Azure DevOps or GitHub; Kubernetes (AKS) is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins or GitLab.

• Experience with AKS and Kubernetes is a strong plus.
• You already live in the Netherlands. There is no relocation for this role.

Job description

Two Azure teams, around 20 medior and senior specialists between them. No juniors to carry, no legacy team to drag along. The clients are big enough that the work starts in the boardroom.

My client is a specialist in public cloud infrastructure and sits inside a larger strategic consultancy, which gives them a direct line to decision makers at major organisations across sectors like finance, retail, healthcare and industry. That means large scale digitalisation and transformation programmes rather than small isolated projects. The stack is modern and built around Azure, PaaS and IaaS, with Terraform and Bicep for Infrastructure as Code, Docker and Kubernetes on AKS for containers, and Azure DevOps and GitHub for CI/CD. You join one of the two Azure teams and work alongside other medior and senior cloud specialists.

What you\'ll do

You own the cloud infrastructure end to end. You design the architecture, you help build it, and you keep an eye on quality once it goes live. Think landing zones, Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework as the backbone, with Terraform or Bicep doing the heavy lifting and Azure DevOps or GitHub running the pipelines. This is a working foreman role, so you stay hands-on in the code and you sit at the table with the client to explain why the design looks the way it does. You work closely with the other Azure specialists in your team, and your job is to make sure the design you drew actually ends up in production.
