Job summary

Corendon Hotels & Resorts seeks a passionate Demi Chef de Partie for The Gym by Sidney Schutte at The College Hotel, Autograph Collection by Marriott in Amsterdam. You will join the opening team, supporting the Chef de Partie, developing mise-en-place, and delivering high-quality dishes with seasonal ingredients.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cook, Chef de Rang Kitchen, or in a similar kitchen role.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate Demi Chef de Partie for The Gym by Sidney Schutte at The College Hotel, Autograph Collection by Marriott.

Located in the heart of Amsterdam Oud-Zuid, The College Hotel is one of the city's most iconic hotspots. Housed in a beautiful 19th-century building that originally opened as a school in 1895, the hotel combines rich history with contemporary luxury and character.

As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the Chef de Partie in delivering high-quality culinary experiences. Working with creative, seasonal ingredients, you will play an important role in maintaining the high standards and unique dining experience our guests have come to expect.

Help us build from day one…

You won't be joining an established kitchen. As part of the opening team, you will help build and shape a completely new culinary concept. A brand-new open kitchen is currently being developed and will play a key role in delivering the ultimate guest experience at The Gym.

Your Role

As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will assist the Chef de Partie with the day-to-day operations of your section. You will be involved in preparing mise-en-place, producing dishes according to recipes and quality standards, and ensuring smooth operations during service.

Together with your colleagues, you will maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and organization while contributing positively to the overall team atmosphere.

• You work accurately, independently, and maintain an overview in a busy environment;

• You are flexible and available to work evenings and weekends;

• You are willing to assist in other kitchen areas when needed;

• You take the time to coach and help develop your team;

• You have experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with knowledge of classical cooking techniques;

• Available for a full-time position (5 days per week);

• You are proficient in Dutch and English.
