Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex technical projects in defence tech. You will coordinate software, hardware, and system integration across teams, ensuring on-time delivery and clear governance.

You will translate objectives into actionable plans, manage dependencies, and communicate progress to stakeholders. The role demands proactive, structured thinking, fluent English, and full-time availability.

Qualifications

• Professional experience managing technical projects involving software, hardware, engineering, R&D, system integration, or technical deployment.
• A completed technical degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience developing project plans, milestones, dependencies, risk assessments, and stakeholder updates.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams and external stakeholders.
• Sufficient technical understanding to discuss system development, prototypes, interfaces, integration, testing, validation, and deployment.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with agile development and project-management methodologies.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• Full-time availability for 40 hours per week.
• Interest in defence tech, drones, autonomous systems, and their applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical projects across product development, roadmap implementation, demonstrations, deployments, and integrations.
• Translate objectives into scope, activities, milestones, and delivery plans.
• Coordinate hardware and software deployments, testing, procurement, and operation deployment.
• Maintain momentum, resolve blockers, and ensure actions are completed.
• Plan and coordinate internal product and prototype development activities.
• Support engineering teams in roadmap implementation, sprints, and test cycles.
• Maintain visibility of progress, dependencies, and decisions.
• Coordinate customer deployments and demonstrations, pilots, and integrations.
• Align teams around a common delivery plan and governance.
