Job summary

Aldebaran Group seeks a DCS Commissioning Specialist to join the site team in Rotterdam for a major energy & industry project. You will validate DCS control logic, supervise loop checks and lead commissioning activities to ensure safe, reliable start-up of the facility.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Automation/Instrumentation or related field, 10+ years in industrial commissioning, extensive Yokogawa DCS experience, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automation, Instrumentation, Control Systems or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Significant experience in industrial commissioning and DCS systems.
• Significant Yokogawa DCS experience.
• Experience on complex energy, chemical, petrochemical, hydrogen, oil & gas or process industries.

Responsibilities

• Perform critical review of the DCS architecture and configuration.
• Support site teams in DCS commissioning activities.
• Conduct and supervise control logic verification (Logic Checks).
• Participate in functional testing of equipment and systems.
• Carry out Loop Checks and monitor issue resolution.
• Verify consistency between engineering docs and on-site implementation.
• Analyze deviations and propose improvements.
• Challenge design choices to optimize performance, reliability and operability.
• Provide regular reporting to project and commissioning teams.
