Job summary

Synthomer is hiring a DCS Engineer in the Netherlands. You will be the central point coordinating between Production, Process Engineering, and Instrumentation to support the site capital investment program and daily DCS operations.

Role requires 5+ years in DCS engineering in the chemical/process industry, thorough ABB 800xA knowledge, and strong Dutch/English communication. You will work with the automation team to ensure safe, compliant operations and effective project delivery.

Qualifications

Targeted Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, chemical or CS or related field; Master’s preferred.
ABB 800xA automation software expertise is essential.
Excellent Dutch and English communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

Provide ABB 800xA software design for new projects and process changes.
Ensure DCS modifications are correctly configured, installed and operate stably.
Support system maintenance, upgrades and contractor supervision.
Manage projects and MOC for DCS implementation and maintenance, including budgeting and scheduling.
Train manufacturing and maintenance staff as needed.
