Job summary

Corecom Consulting is seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Data Steward to join a large-scale data and analytics environment in the Netherlands. The role focuses on data quality, governance and reliability across customer-focused data products, with hands-on work on pipelines and governance processes.

The position is a 6-month assignment in Randstad with hybrid working. Compensation is €90-95k per year, plus benefits such as pension and expenses; the payroll is interim payroll (no ZZP).

Qualifications

• Production-grade code in a cloud environment (GCP preferred).
• Strong SQL with data modeling and transformation.
• Hands-on with BigQuery and PySpark/Databricks.
• Experience with data quality, governance and dbt tests.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines using SQL and Python.
• Develop data quality rules, tests and dashboards with dbt and Elementary.
• Investigate data quality issues, perform root-cause analysis and drive fixes.
• Define business definitions, harmonization rules and metadata.
• Review data models, contracts and mappings against governance standards.
• Support governance frameworks and best practices; improve data product usability.
