Job summary

Datashift, a fast-growing data consultancy, opened an office in Rotterdam to support clients in the Netherlands. We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Consultant to guide clients in optimizing data governance practices.

You will advise on governance frameworks, collaborate with business and IT stakeholders, and implement projects (e.g., Collibra). Fluency in English and Dutch is required, 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in data management, analytics, engineering, or BI.
• Consulting & client engagement skills to assess requirements, deliver solutions, and support change management.
• Hands-on experience with data governance platforms (Collibra preferred).
• Technical proficiency with SQL, APIs, and data integration concepts; scripting in Python or Groovy is a plus.
• Excellent English and Dutch communication.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on data governance best practices.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to bridge gaps and drive adoption.
• Implement data governance projects, including configuration of governance platforms (e.g. Collibra).
• Assess and improve data governance maturity, guiding scalable improvements.
