Job summary

Corecom Consulting is seeking two Data Engineers to join a large-scale customer data environment in the Netherlands. You will build and improve data products used across the organisation, focusing on customer classification and unified profiles while overseeing data quality and governance.

You’ll collaborate with Data Engineers, Stewards, Product Owners and Software Engineers to raise engineering standards and data practices.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python.
• Experience building pipelines using dbt.
• Production experience with cloud platforms, ideally GCP.
• Hands-on with BigQuery or Databricks/PySpark.
• Understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and containerisation.
• Experience with data quality — defining rules, tests and investigating failures.
• Strong understanding of data models, databases and data warehouses.
• Comfortable working with stakeholders in ambiguous requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build, improve and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Work with SQL, Python, dbt, BigQuery, and Databricks/PySpark.
• Develop production-grade data solutions across GCP environments.
• Improve processes around coding, testing, reviews and infrastructure.
• Define and implement data quality, data contracts and governance standards.
• Review data models and mappings to meet standards.
• Investigate data quality issues and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve.
• Support ad-hoc analytics and data investigations as needed.
• Present data quality and governance concepts to stakeholders.
