Job summary

Adaptfy is seeking a Data Engineering Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join our Data and Analytics team in Amsterdam. You will engineer end-to-end data platforms supporting digital marketing, e-commerce, and BI initiatives, collaborating with Data Scientists and senior stakeholders.

You will collect requirements, design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, and near real-time data hubs, while mentoring teammates and sharing knowledge in a fast-growing international setting.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in data analytics.
• Understanding of data warehousing principles (ODS, data marts, data lakes, data vault, 3NF).
• Advanced SQL, data transformation and data profiling skills.
• Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines at scale.
• 1-2 years hands-on with Azure: Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Azure Functions, streaming.

Responsibilities

• Engineer complete technical solutions to solve concrete business challenges in digital marketing, e-commerce, BI and self-service analytics.
• Collect functional and non-functional requirements, consider technical environments and enterprise constraints.
• Design and build operational data platforms: ETL pipelines, data lakes, near real-time streaming hubs, web services; training and scoring ML models.
• Collaborate closely with partners, strategy consultants, and data scientists in a flat, agile organization.
• Share data engineering knowledge by giving technical training and mentoring team members.
