PostNL zoekt een Data Governance Manager binnen het Data CoE om het federated governance model te omarmen en data als strategisch asset te bevorderen. Je leidt adoptie, faciliteert besluitvorming en adviseert senior stakeholders op gebied van data governance en compliance.

Je werkt aan governance-structuren, ownership en duurzame praktijken, en combineert een strategische visie met pragmatische uitvoering in een complexe omgeving bij PostNL.

Qualifications

• 3–6 jaar ervaring in Data Governance of Data Management
• Ervaring met implementeren van governance framework en operating models
• Kennis van Data Quality, Metadata Management en Master Data Management
• Ervaring met het faciliteren van workshops en organisatorische veranderingen
• Sterke stakeholder management en beïnvloedingsvaardigheden
• Resultaatgericht en hands-on mentaliteit

PostNL is establishing a Data Center of Excellence (CoE) to strengthen enterprise-wide data management capabilities and ensure data is treated as a strategic asset. As part of this transformation, Enterprise Data Management is implementing a Federated Data Governance Operating Model that enables business domains to take ownership of their data while maintaining consistent governance standards across the organization.

As a Data Governance Manager, you lead the adoption and continuous improvement of this governance model. You translate enterprise data strategy, governance frameworks, policies and standards into practical ways of working. You help business domains establish governance structures, clarify ownership responsibilities and embed sustainable governance practices into daily operations.

You act as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, facilitate workshops, guide governance decision‑making and resolve complex data management challenges. You drive initiatives related to data ownership, data quality, metadata management, master data management, data products, privacy and regulatory compliance. Through your leadership, you help create a culture where data is managed consistently, responsibly and effectively across PostNL.

• Salary between €4.588 and €6.498 (scale 11) gross per month at 37 hours per week. But 32 hours is possible too!
• Hybrid working is encouraged and you’ll have flexible working hours. Employees who work from home more than two days a week get an allowance of €45 net per month.
• 8% vacation pay and 25 vacation days on a full‑time contract.
• Travel allowance for commuting from 6 km each way up to a maximum of 70 km each way, or an NS Business Card for business travel and commuting.

You also have the following qualifications:

• 3-6 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management or a related discipline.
• Experience implementing governance frameworks and operating models in complex organizations.
• Strong knowledge of data management disciplines such as Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Ownership and Master Data Management.
• Experience facilitating workshops and leading organizational change initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong communicator with a getting things done mentality
• You identify opportunities to use AI to enhance the quality or efficiency of your work.
• You stay up to date with AI developments, enabling you to recognize where new applications or technologies can add value to your work.
