Job summary

Metyis AG in Amsterdam is seeking a Data Engineering Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join our Data and Analytics team. The role is full-time and centers on building robust data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data products that empower business decisions.

You will work with a diverse international team, collaborating with data scientists and strategy consultants to implement data-driven solutions across marketing, e-commerce, BI, and analytics.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of data analytics/engineering experience.
• Strong SQL, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling knowledge.
• Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines at scale.
• Hands-on with Azure data services (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Functions).
• Experience with Airflow and Kubernetes.
• Programming in Python (PySpark) and Bash scripting.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and Docker.
• Basic Power BI knowledge preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engineer end-to-end data platforms including ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, and data hubs.
• Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to deliver data solutions across marketing, e‑commerce, BI, and analytics.
• Collect requirements and design scalable data architectures respecting enterprise constraints.
• Mentor team members and share knowledge through technical training.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to drive impactful data-driven changes.
