Job summary

Metyis is growing and seeks a Data Engineering Manager with 5-8+ years of experience to lead our Data and Analytics team in Amsterdam. You will guide end-to-end data handling, pipeline development, and analytics product delivery in a collaborative, fast-growing environment.

You will work with Data Scientists to manage data lifecycles, build scalable data platforms, and mentor a 2-3 member team while coordinating with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of professional hands-on experience in data engineering or related field.
• 5-8 years in a similar role with ETL on Azure.
• Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts (ODS, data marts, data lakes, data vault, 3NF).
• Cloud-based development, CI/CD, GitHub or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical roadmap for client data platforms and architecture.
• Oversee architecture to ensure components align with product needs.
• Lead development of data pipelines, data insights, and analytics products.
• Collaborate with data scientists to move data through its lifecycle and deliver dashboards.
• Coach team members to deliver best-in-class data products.
• Engage with stakeholders to align data initiatives with business goals.
