Job summary

Xebia Data is seeking a data engineer in the Netherlands to help design and build data-intensive systems in the cloud. You will develop infrastructure to store, transform, and process data at scale, collaborating with a team of data professionals from various industries.

You’ll work on a backbone data platform, apply modern tools like Spark, Docker, Flink, and Databricks, and contribute to client projects while expanding your expertise in cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering or related field (software engineering/DevOps accepted).
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms and modern data stack concepts.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Dutch professional-level proficiency required; based in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Implement foundations of data-intensive systems and enable data infrastructure at scale.
• Store, transform and process data in the cloud with secure, reliable tooling.
• Collaborate with client and Xebia Data teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Explain design choices and align with stakeholders to shape the data landscape.
