Job summary

Sia is a next-generation, global management consulting group with a data-driven focus, now seeking a Data engineer consultant to shape its growing data team. You will drive client projects and co-create Sia AI solutions with the French Data Engineering team.

Responsibilities include cloud architecture across GCP/AWS/Azure, Docker/Kubernetes orchestration, Python tooling, CI/CD, data pipelines and ML infrastructure support. Fluency in English and Dutch is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with a strong quantitative component (e.g. Econometrics, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance).
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Data, DevOps, Cloud or Software Engineering.
• Proficient in Python with solid background in other languages; SQL DBMS (PostgreSQL preferred) and ideally noSQL (MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud services (GCP, AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Gitlab-CE is a plus.
• Security mindset with capabilities in certificate management, HTTPS, OAuth2, and credential handling.
• Strong interest in data/AI topics and ability to learn quickly; excellent interpersonal and team skills.
• Excellent English and Dutch verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on client projects and build Sia AI solutions with the French Data Engineering team.
• Architecture choices for Cloud Services across GCP, AWS and Azure, including storage, compute, cost monitoring and IAM, IaC.
• Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes for Data Science workloads.
• Develop server-side tools in Python for data processing and REST APIs; manage CI/CD deployments.
• Build ETL data pipelines in Big Data environments and support ML infrastructure provisioning.
