Job summary

Sia is seeking a Data engineer consultant to join our Amsterdam team and shape the future of our Data Science initiatives. You will work on client projects and help build Sia AI solutions with our French Data Engineering team.

Responsibilities include building data pipelines, deploying Python-based tools, and implementing scalable data infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services. Strong English and Dutch communication is required.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree with a strong quantitative component (e.g. Econometrics, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance).
1–3 years of relevant experience in Data, DevOps, Cloud or Software Engineering.
Strong Python skills and a solid foundation in other languages; familiarity with at least one SQL DBMS (PostgreSQL) and ideally noSQL (MongoDB).
Experience with at least one cloud platform (GCP/AWS/Azure) and mixing services within projects.
Comfort with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and an appetite to learn Kubernetes; lifecycle management from development to deployment.

Responsibilities

Build data pipelines and ETL scripts in Big Data environments.
Develop and deploy data-driven solutions and internal platforms, collaborating with our data engineering team.
Work on client projects and contribute to Sia AI solutions.
Contribute to security, IAM, and credential management in deployed apps.
