Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Data Engineer in Weesp, The Netherlands, to design and implement robust data pipelines and architectures. You will work with AWS native services, Databricks, and BI tools to enable visualization and insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Min 3 years in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Hands-on with AWS, Databricks and Spark.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines for various projects.
• Develop and maintain pipeline architecture using AWS services.
• Design and optimize data models on AWS with Databricks/Redshift/RDS/S3.
• Integrate large datasets to meet business requirements.
• Perform ETL: read, transform, load data.
• Manage integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytics systems.
• Enhance internal Python libraries for pipeline development.
• Monitor and optimize data performance, uptime, and scalability.
• Create architecture and design documentation; contribute to best practices.
• Participate in technical planning, design, and peer code reviews.
• Stay current with trends and propose innovations.
