Job summary

Nebius is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive data center mechanical infra, from cooling to critical equipment. The role is build-phase and requires on-site data center work, with travel to sites as needed.

You will evaluate cooling solutions, support engineering standards, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure scalable, reliable AI infrastructure. 8+ years of experience and PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data center mechanical engineering or mission-critical systems.
• Experience with cooling systems, chiller plants, CRAH/CRAC systems, and liquid cooling.
• PE license or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Experience with BMS integration and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical evaluations for data center opportunities.
• Assess cooling infrastructure and critical mechanical equipment.
• Evaluate air-, liquid-, and hybrid cooling solutions for AI environments.
• Provide feasibility recommendations and Go/No-Go input.
• Conduct technical due diligence on facilities.
• Review cooling capacity and chiller plants.
• Assess equipment availability, vendor capabilities, and risks.
• Support cooling topology and equipment selection decisions.
• Validate design assumptions and construction readiness.
• Partner with engineering teams, vendors, and consultants to ensure scalable solutions.
