Job summary

Arup in Amsterdam seeks a Senior Design Manager to lead the technical delivery of complex data center and mission-critical projects. You will guide multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction, interfacing with clients, authorities and stakeholders to ensure design meets objectives, budget, and schedule.

You will coordinate architects, engineers and consultants, oversee quality and constructability, and drive design reviews and stage-gate processes.

Qualifications

• Requires leadership of multidisciplinary design teams across project phases.
• Experience coordinating architects, engineers and consultants.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with complex, data center and specialized facilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and advance the design strategy across disciplines from concept through delivery.
• Coordinate designers and engineers as one integrated design team for clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee design quality, constructability, risk, sustainability, resilience, and asset performance.
• Lead design reviews and stage-gate processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Support client engagement and mentoring to grow the team and improve tools.
