Job summary

Fortinet, Inc. in the Netherlands seeks a Systems Engineer for the Public Sector to support pre-sales and technical sales calls. You will translate complex cybersecurity needs into concrete solutions and guide customers through networking and security integration.

You will be the primary technical resource on calls, qualify leads, and explain features, specs, and secure architectures across hybrid environments. Dutch fluency and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Dutch fluency and comfortable in a technical customer-facing environment.
• 2–5 years of experience in systems engineering, pre-sales, or cybersecurity.
• Fundamentals of networking and security (TCP/IP, DNS, secure protocols).
• Knowledge of Zero Trust, SASE, and cloud security trends.
• Exposure to security technologies such as IAM, EDR/XDR, SIEM or similar.
• Familiar with secure protocols and authentication methods (TLS, IPsec, OAuth, PKI).
• Able to communicate clearly from technical deep-dives to business conversations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint (Pre-sales).
• Be the main technical resource on sales calls and explain features, specifications and integration.
• Conversant with networking applications and solutions.
• Provide post-sales training assistance to identified customers.
