Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES in Meppel is seeking a Customer Operations Specialist to temporarily cover an Optimus program. You will own the full Order-to-Cash process for export customers in the Americas & Pacific region, with focus on the Caribbean, and collaborate with planning, logistics and commercial stakeholders to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

You will quickly become independently operational, working in a team-focused environment with ERP tools (SAP) and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Customer Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain or Logistics (no entry-level profiles).
• Dutch and English required.
• Spanish is a strong advantage (regional/customer portfolio).
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage the full Order-to-Cash flow for export customers (from order intake to delivery and invoicing follow-up where applicable).
• Act as the first point of contact for customers on order, delivery and service-related topics.
• Coordinate closely with transport planning, factories, logistics and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor order progress and proactively follow up on risks, delays or exceptions.
• Handle customer questions, complaints, issue management and follow-through in a solution-oriented way.
• Maintain customer master data and customer-specific logistics requirements in the ERP system (SAP preferred).
• Support reporting activities such as stock and sales updates where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting smarter ways of working and supporting operational initiatives.
• Participate in project-based assignments linked to process optimisation and team priorities.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Customer Operations Specialist to temporarily replace an employee who will be supporting the Optimus program. In this role, you are responsible for the full Order-to-Cash process for export customers within the Americas & Pacific region, with a strong focus on the Caribbean islands. You will work in a highly collaborative environment and will be expected to become independently operational quickly.

Requirements:

• Higher professional (HBO) working and thinking level


• Proven experience in Customer Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain or Logistics (no entry-level profiles)


• Sufficient seniority and analytical capability to become independently operational quickly


• Strong stakeholder management skills; able to switch easily between different parties and interests


• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, take ownership and work independently


• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system (preferred)


• Good Excel and general MS Office skills


• Dutch and English required


• Spanish is a strong advantage (regional/customer portfolio)


• Experience in FMCG / Food / Dairy is a strong advantage
