Job summary

Maaskade Bevrachters zoekt een Crewing Manager die zorgt voor de juiste bemanning op onze binnenvates. Je bent de schakel tussen wal en schip en houdt alles rondom de bemanning strak georganiseerd.

Je houdt toezicht op werving, planning en inzet, naleving van wetten en regelgeving, en behoudt overzicht in drukke periodes. Je werkt zowel op kantoor als regelmatig aan boord en draagt bij aan groei en continuïteit van de vloot.

Qualifications

• Ervaring in crewing, personeelsplanning of maritime HR vereist.
• Kennis van zeilen, rusttijden en relevante wetten/regulaties is vereist of bereidheid om dit snel te leren.
• Sterk in plannen, organiseren en overzicht houden onder druk.
• Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en verbinding met bemanning, kapiteins en externe partners.

Responsibilities

• Verantwoordelijk voor werving, selectie, planning en inzet van bemanning op onze binnenschepen.
• Bewaken van personeelsplanning, zeil- en rusttijden, certificaten en andere crewzaken conform wet- en regelgeving.
• Zorgdragen voor structuur en kalmte in een dynamische werkomgeving en zorgen voor tijdige inzet van complete, gekwalificeerde bemanning.
• Aantrekken, plannen en behoud van de juiste mensen aan boord in een groeiende vloot.

Working as a Crewing Manager at Maaskade Group

For Maaskade Group, we are looking for a Crewing Manager who ensures that our fleet always has the right crew. You are the link between shore and ship, and you ensure that everything related to the crew is tightly organized.

What are we looking for?

As Crewing Manager, you are responsible for the recruitment, selection, planning, and deployment of the crew on our inland vessels. You are the link between our captains, crew members, and external partners, ensuring that our vessels always have the right crew available.

You maintain an overview of personnel planning, sailing and rest times, certifications, and other crew-related matters. In doing so, you ensure that everything complies with applicable laws and regulations. In unexpected situations, such as illness, leave, or last-minute changes, you react quickly and know how to find appropriate solutions.

You are someone who brings structure and calm to a dynamic environment. You think ahead, work accurately, and ensure that our vessels can always depart with a complete and qualified team. With the continued growth of our fleet, you play an important role in attracting, planning, and retaining the right people on board.

• You have experience in crewing, personnel planning, or maritime HR; experience within inland shipping is a plus.
• You have knowledge of sailing and rest times and relevant laws and regulations, or are willing to quickly familiarize yourself with them.
• You are strong in planning, organizing, and maintaining an overview, even when pressure increases.
• You switch gears quickly, think in solutions, and know how to act appropriately in the event of changes or unexpected situations.
• You possess excellent communication skills and know how to easily liaise with crew members, captains, and external partners.
• You take responsibility, demonstrate ownership, and feel committed to the optimal planning and utilization of the fleet.
• You have an affinity with inland shipping and feel at home in a dynamic, operational work environment.
• You have a good command of Dutch, English, and German, both spoken and written.
