Job summary

Van Berge Henegouwen (VBH) is seeking a skilled AV Control Systems Programmer to join our team in the Netherlands. You will develop, configure and optimise Crestron-based control systems that integrate audio, video, lighting and HVAC for superyacht environments, and create intuitive user interfaces.

You’ll work with System Engineers and AV specialists to deliver robust, user-friendly onboard solutions. Required strengths include Crestron programming, SIMPL/SIMPL+/SIMPL#, C#/.NET, and knowledge

Qualifications

• Extensive experience programming Crestron control systems.
• Crestron Masters Certified Programmer (CMCP) certification.
• Strong programming skills in Crestron SIMPL, SIMPL+ and SIMPL#.
• Experience with C# and .NET development using Visual Studio.
• Knowledge of system integration technologies such as KNX, DALI, Lutron and Q-SYS.
• Familiarity with integration protocols such as REST API, Modbus, BACnet and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of AV transport protocols such as Dante, RTP/RTCP, NDI, AES and UDP/TCP is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program and optimise control systems using Crestron platforms.
• Write and maintain control logic using technologies such as SIMPL, SIMPL+ and SIMPL#.
• Develop software components using C# and .NET where required.
• Translate technical requirements into functional, reliable control solutions.
• Integrate AV, lighting, HVAC and other onboard technologies into a cohesive control environment.
• Create intuitive control experiences that make complex technology easy to use.
• Integrate different systems and devices through APIs and communication protocols.
• Work with technologies such as KNX, DALI, Lutron and Q-SYS, depending on project requirements.
• Apply protocols such as REST API, Modbus, BACnet and TCP/IP to connect systems and enable communication between technologies.
• Test and debug programming to ensure systems operate reliably.
• Investigate integration issues and find practical, effective solutions.
• Support system testing and commissioning, including resolving programming issues during project delivery.
• Work closely with System Engineers, AV Specialists, IT Specialists and installation teams to ensure everything functions as intended.
• Contribute ideas and improvements to make our programming and control solutions even better.
