Job summary

American Express in Amsterdam is seeking a Credit Specialist to join the Credit Bust Out team, focusing on detecting first-party fraud and assessing risk of card members who may not repay. You will analyze accounts, use risk tools, and decide on preventative actions to protect the company.

You will engage with Card Members while maintaining strong service quality, collaborating with leaders on escalations, and balancing customer experience with risk management.

Responsibilities

• Use risk assessment tools to pre-empt high credit loss accounts.
• Assess the risk of false applications.
• Review card accounts to assess company risk and patterns.
• Take preventative action by placing appropriate blocks on cards.
• Escalate high value, high risk accounts for early warning and guidance.
• Balance customer experience with shareholder value in daily delivery.
