Overview
Join a dynamic Corporate Banking team as a Credit Analyst specializing in trade and commodity finance. This role offers the opportunity to shape credit decisions for complex trade finance transactions, ensuring sound risk management and regulatory compliance. You\'ll work closely with Relationship Managers and senior stakeholders to assess creditworthiness and structure deals that support strategic client growth.
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and external regulatory standards.
- Review credit proposals, including limits, tenors, collateral, and documentation, before submission to credit committees.
- Attend client meetings with Relationship Managers to support credit discussions.
- Conduct financial analysis and identify key risks and mitigants in credit packages.
- Provide underwriting opinions and contribute to credit memos for new, renewal, and amended facilities.
- Monitor client exposures, discrepancies, and documentation via internal systems and dashboards.
- Approve credit applications and internal ratings in coordination with second-line functions.
- Track market developments and produce sector-specific reports.
- Support risk mitigation through third-party market checks and input.
- Respond promptly to discrepancy approvals within delegated authority.
- Prepare periodic risk reports and contribute to internal audits and reviews.
- Participate in internal projects, policy development, and team support initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in credit analysis or underwriting within corporate banking.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with trade finance instruments and structures.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Proficient in MS Office tools.
