Job summary

Caffe Inc. offers an internship position in Amsterdam Noord focused on developing and testing coffee-based cosmetic actives, including formulation, stability, and application in skin and hair care products.

You will support formulation guidance for cosmetic customers and develop application prototypes and formulation sheets. The ideal candidate is a student in chemistry-related fields with hands-on interest in cosmetic formulation and wet chemistry, able to work in a dynamic R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Student in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, Cosmetic Science, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience or strong interest in cosmetic formulation and wet chemistry.
• Basic knowledge of organic chemistry and analytical testing.
• Hands-on, proactive, and able to work in a dynamic R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop application prototypes and prepare formulation sheets for customers.
• Troubleshoot formulation challenges and improve stability, texture, and performance.
• Perform physico-chemical analysis (viscosity, pH, stability, etc.).
• Prepare technical reports, SOPs, and present results.

Role description

Development and testing of coffee-based cosmetic actives, including formulation, stability, and application in skin and hair care products, as well as supporting formulation guidance for cosmetic customers.

• Develop application prototypes and prepare formulation/application sheets for customers.
