Job description

Corporate Responsibility & Inventory Specialist

As a Corporate Responsibility & Inventory Specialist at Bamboo Basics, you’ll see a growing brand take its next steps up close and help make them happen. The pace is high, new questions come up and your ideas can quickly become part of the way we work. If you enjoy variety and seeing the results of your contribution, there’s plenty here to get involved in.

You’ll join a team of five at Bamboo Basics, each with their own expertise and working closely together. You’ll also collaborate with the Brams Workwear team and HVEG Group’s central corporate responsibility team, giving you colleagues to share ideas with, learn from and turn to when a question needs another perspective. As the brand grows, you’ll have room to grow with it and help shape what comes next.

What will you do as a Corporate Responsibility & Inventory Specialist?

You’ll work on Corporate Responsibility for Bamboo Basics, Brams Workwear and Maison de Paris, alongside inventory management for Bamboo Basics. You’ll translate customer and market requirements into practical actions and coordinate inventory and repeat orders. As Bamboo Basics grows, you’ll also help adapt processes to new markets, customer requirements and stock needs.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Advance the B Corp project, certifications, Transaction Certificates, Carbonfact, reduction plans and ESG and CR objectives as part of HVEG Group’s Global CR Team.
  • Translate current and upcoming legislation, including PPWR, EPR and ECGT, into practical actions, respond to customer questions about CR, compliance and product information, and anticipate requirements in new markets and from customers such as Zalando.
  • Coordinate supply chain mapping, risk assessments, test reports and amfori BSCI and BEPI factory assessments to support transparency and responsible sourcing.
  • Develop CR improvements, including innovation plans, donations and partnerships with charities and ANBI foundations, and explore opportunities such as nominated packaging suppliers.
  • Analyse stock levels across the existing Bamboo Basics collection, identify shortages, excess stock, slow-moving products and phase-outs, and propose stock replenishment in consultation with the CFO.
  • Coordinate and place repeat orders based on stock requirements, maintaining close contact with colleagues in China and partners in Turkey about availability and delivery dates.
  • Track incoming stock and expected deliveries with our logistics department and warehouse in ’s-Heerenberg, and help improve inventory monitoring and related processes.
  • Support the coordination of customer-specific and special make-up (SMU) orders for customers including Bever, AS Adventure, Sliponline and Fashcom, keeping an overview of stock availability and supporting the processing of EDI orders.

What do we offer?

You’ll be part of a small team where everyone brings their own expertise and works closely together. With support from the Brams Workwear and central CR teams, you’ll have colleagues to exchange ideas with and room to take initiative yourself. You’ll see the impact of your work as Bamboo Basics grows and help prepare the brand for its next steps. You can expect:

  • A competitive gross salary from € 3.600,- up to € 4.000,- per month (for a 40-hour workweek), depending on your experience and qualifications.
  • A contract of 32–40 hours per week.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid working options.
  • An 8% holiday allowance, 25 days annual leave, plus 3 additional HVEG days.
  • Plenty of opportunities for personal development through the HVEG Academy.
  • Access to OpenUp for mental wellbeing, coaching and personal development.
  • A monthly chair massage at the office.
  • A contribution towards your gym membership through our corporate fitness programme.
  • Discounts on your health insurance through our collective healthcare plan.
  • Staff discounts on HVEG brands.
  • The opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from other brands and business units within HVEG Group.
  • ‘Summer Hours’: the flexibility to finish work at 12:00 on Fridays throughout June, July, and August.

What you bring to the role

As a Corporate Responsibility & Inventory Specialist you can move comfortably between analysis, coordination and CR topics. You don’t need to be a specialist in every area, but you do need the experience to take ownership of ongoing CR matters and move them forward. You bring:

  • Experience in Corporate Responsibility or ESG, which is essential for this role.
  • Experience in inventory management as a strong plus.
  • The ability to analyse inventory data and translate insights into practical actions to maintain balanced stock levels.
  • An independent, practical approach and the ability to keep an overview of different topics and deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work with different internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confidence working with Excel and experience with ERP systems, preferably Business Central (BC365).
