Move forward as Control Room Specialist at DSV in Venlo

Are you someone who always keeps an overview, even when things get busy? Do you effortlessly extract the right data from systems and think in processes? For our warehouses in Venlo, we are looking for Control Room Specialists who are ready for the next step and want to contribute to our customers’ success.

You get it done

As a Control Room Specialist, you are responsible for starting up, monitoring, managing and closing the production processes within our automated warehouse : you’re on it.

You stay in control from the control room: a high-tech office filled with screens and systems. From here, you continuously monitor operational performance. You identify deviations, anticipate disruptions and ensure daily targets are achieved. If something goes wrong, you know exactly how and when to intervene or escape.

You work within a close-knit team in a relatively new but crucial department that is rapidly developing. Thanks to your experience and keen eye for improvement, you contribute every day to the success of our operation . You achieve this by:

  • resolving first-line issues and identifying process improvements;
  • communicating with operations about process flow status, changes and required actions, and providing input for updates to various stakeholders;
  • managing and monitoring process progress.

Your team stands out within DSV because of its specialised expertise and international character. The team is new, highly collaborative and operates in a two-shift system.

We are DSV, we grow

DSV is a global provider of transport and logistics services. With offices in more than 90 countries and a growing network of partners, there is no place in the world we cannot reach via transport by air, sea, rail, courier or road or where we can offer storage in warehouses.

"From the Control Room, you stay firmly in control. You make the difference by remaining calm, analysing sharply and acting at the right moment," says Katarzyna Kasperek, Control Room Supervisor.

In the Netherlands, we operate from over 40 branches, with more than 5,000 colleagues. Together we rise to the challenge of a rapidly changing environment. We make quick decisions at every level and combine ambition and teamwork. This is how we move forward and make a difference together.

You bring
  • demonstrable, solid knowledge of logistics and automated warehouse environments, for example gained in a role such as troubleshooter;
  • the ability to remain calm in a dynamic environment, enabling you to maintain an overview and set the right priorities at all times;
  • good command of the English language and knowledge of various software systems.

It all counts for this vacancy of control room specialist in Venlo. Furthermore, it is of course important that you feel at home with us. That will certainly be possible if you like to keep going, have guts and want to grow with DSV.

Working at DSV means working at one of the top players in the logistics market. DSV is entrepreneurial and competitive, which is why we always want to grow as an organization. That is why we are looking for people who want to grow with us. Besides a challenging job in an international environment we also offer:

  • a salary (excluding shift allowance) aligned with your knowledge and experience;
  • a professional yet informal working environment where your voice counts and is valued;
  • 24 days of annual leave, 4 ADV days and 8% holiday allowance;
  • an attractive pension scheme, partly contribution-free, with a personal contribution of 5%;
  • access to knowledge and training via our DSV Academy, enabling you to grow and shape your own career path.
Move forward

We will only contact you via our official company email addresses (e.g., @dsv.com or @nl.dsv.com) and never reach out to candidates through personal email providers such as Gmail or Hotmail.
