Job summary

VistaPrint is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer for our Venlo manufacturing site to drive technical and process improvements across the facility. You will partner with production and engineering teams to analyze operations, optimize workflows, and implement best practices while keeping machinery running at peak performance.

Responsibilities include leading projects, inspecting and upgrading a varied machine park, collaborating with suppliers, and delivering cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• A minimum HBO/Bachelors degree in Engineering with knowledge of Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years experience with process, equipment or industrial engineering.
• Project management skills and knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, Six Sigma, FMEA and Lean Manufacturing.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to demonstrate task management and timeline control.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills to collaborate at all levels.
• Proficiency in English.

Our Team

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer at our VistaPrint manufacturing plant, you will drive technical and process improvements across the facility. Working in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment, you will partner with production and engineering teams to analyze current operations, optimize workflows, and implement best practices. You will also keep our machinery running at peak performance, help select new equipment, and support maintenance strategies. We are looking for an adaptable, decisive problem‑solver who is driven to deliver real results.

What You Will Do

Lead projects, monitor, evaluate, and improve the production process, support the development of new production processes and resolve existing problems within the current processes.

Inspect, analyse, evaluate, optimise, upgrade and improve a very varied electronic and mechanical machine park.

Collaborate with Chinese suppliers and stabilise a new machine park.

Develop and implement initiatives which save costs, increase production and/or enhance quality.

Support projects concerning the installation of new equipment and the introduction of new products.

Challenge the status quo and follow up with running pilots and collecting objective data.

Closely collaborate with the Operations, Quality and Maintenance teams in Venlo and the other Engineering teams.

A minimum HBO/bachelors degree in the field of Engineering, during which you gained knowledge of Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.

3+ years experience with process, equipment or industrial engineering.

Project management skills, knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, Six Sigma, FMEA and Lean Manufacturing.

Understanding of Lean manufacturing principals.

Ability to demonstrate task management and timeline control.

Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels and positions within the organization.

Proficiency in English language.

Nice to Have

Mandarin language proficiency is highly desirable

Preference will be given to those who possess an excellent manufacturing or process engineering background, a superior mechanical aptitude and proven trouble‑shooting skills.
